Why This Blog?

Liberty doesn’t just happen.  It is either intentionally promoted, or lost due to ignorance and apathy.  Thomas Jefferson wrote, “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free…it expects what never was and never will be.”  John Adams likewise said, “Liberty cannot be preserved without a general knowledge among the people.”

A major threat to American liberty is the Big Media Industry that serves as the progressive Left’s propaganda machine, instead of serving the people.

A blog is the voice of the people and arms them against Big Media’s chronic propaganda.  Blogs are to the 21st Century American Patriot, what the printing press was to Samuel Adams and Thomas Paine during the American Revolution.

This Patriot’s blog aims to take journalistic shots heard round the world against Big Media’s half-truths, disinformation, innuendo, and outright Leftist propaganda.

Life and Liberty ’76 is dedicated to promote learning about, and foster application of, the Principles of Liberty embodied in the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and other significant founding documents.
